The Principal
Dr. Mussaad M. Al-Razouki was training to be an oral and maxillofacial surgeon where his clinical training took him through the finest institutions in the United States such as New York-Presbyterian Hospital at Columbia University Medical Center, Harlem Hospital, Cleveland University Hospital at Case Western Reserve University, and Massachusetts General Hospital at Harvard University.
With over 20 years of experience in venture capital and private equity, Dr. Al-Razouki has built one of the Arab world's most distinctive careers at the convergence of clinical practice and capital markets. He served as Chief Business Development Officer of Kuwait Life Sciences Company (KLSC), managing local, regional, and international investments on behalf of the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) — Kuwait's sovereign wealth fund.
Sport has long been a defining thread in the Al-Razouki family's identity. Major General Mahmoud Ghadhban Al-Razouki represented Kuwait on the world's greatest athletic stage, competing in the 1972 Munich Olympic Games — marking him among a small and celebrated cohort of Kuwaiti Olympians at only Kuwait's second-ever Olympic appearance. Beyond his personal athletic accomplishments, General Al-Razouki went on to serve as President of Qadsia Sporting Club, Kuwait's most popular and storied sports institution, stewarding the club's growth and legacy at the very highest levels of Kuwaiti sport.
Dr. Mussaad M. Al-Razouki is himself a decorated competitive athlete. A lifelong member of Qadsia Sporting Club, he served as Captain of the Qadsia Swimming Team and went on to Captain the Kuwaiti National Swimming Team, amassing an extraordinary competitive record of 167 gold medals and breaking 17 individual and medley records across national, regional, and international competitions. The discipline and resilience forged in competitive sport remain central to his approach to medicine, investment, and leadership.
Dr. Al-Razouki has been invited to lecture at Cambridge University, Columbia University, Harvard University, and the Cleveland Clinic. He has addressed the World Economic Forum on the Middle East (Dead Sea, 2017) and the World Bank: Youth, Technology and Finance Conference in Algiers (2018). In 2019, CNBC recognized him for the inclusion of portfolio companies among the 100 Most Promising Technology Ventures in the World.
In Memoriam
The Razouki family legacy is inseparable from the life and service of Major General Mahmoud Ghadhban Al-Razouki — a decorated officer of the Kuwait Armed Forces whose career embodied the values of honour, duty, and sacrifice in defence of the State of Kuwait.
Major General Al-Razouki served with distinction across decades of Kuwait's modern military history, rising through the ranks to achieve the senior leadership of a Major General. His service covered a defining era for Kuwait — a time of nation-building, regional challenges, and the forging of a modern armed forces identity rooted in professionalism and patriotism.
His personal commitment to discipline, lifelong learning, and service above self left an indelible mark on his family — values that Dr. Mussaad carries forward in every dimension of his professional and philanthropic work. The Razouki Family Office honours his memory by upholding the same standard of excellence, integrity, and service to country that defined his distinguished career.
